We have organised MRCP Part II clinical courses
since 1998; originally as Llandough Hospital course until June 2006,
and now the Cardiff PACES course. We have excellent feedback from
our candidates who have been particularly impressed by the range
of cases, the teaching and feedback from the tutors, and the relaxed
atmosphere of the course.
We offer a comprehensive 3-day course which
offers a balance of feedback about examination technique and presentation,
history and communication skills, and seeing clinical signs. There
is also a realistic fully-fledged mock examination to further prepare
you for the real thing. It is particularly suitable for you if this
is your first attempt, or if you want to improve your overall examination
skills and chances of passing. It is often little things which matter
in this examination. MRCP is not a difficult examination after all,
but it is easy to fail it.
The course conforms with the MRCP clinical
examination PACES (Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination
Skills). We have considerable experience with teaching, and organising
courses and examinations. We are fortunate to have consultants and
senior specialist registrars (including those who have previously
attended our course) who are based at teaching hospitals in South
Wales, teach on the course.
There is a limit of 6 candidates per group, as recommended by the Royal College of Physicians Trainees Committee, which ensures that everyone gets individual attention.
It is essential that you apply as
soon as possible, as places are limited.
